NL5475: FEP / PTFE Tubing – Smooth

NL5475 FEP is used in similar applications as the NL5470 PTFE, but this tubing is more “clear” and can be made in longer, continuous lengths (however it is not as flexible as PTFE). Unlike PTFE, FEP can also be heat sealed or heat bonded as it does not have as high as a temperature rating as PTFE. Compression style fittings may also be used with this tubing and it is available in a flexible accordion style (NL5477). For applications not requiring a wide temperature range, also consider using our NL5460 Kynar PVDF Tubing.

Construction: Smooth, FDA approved clear Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) with a shore hardness of 55.

Typical Fittings: ALWAYS confirm material compatibility with fluid being conveyed. Acetal Push-In tube fittings (note tubing OD), compression fittings, nylon/brass/stainless steel hose barbs. DO NOT use PTC styles if rubber o-ring not compatible with fluid.

Temperature Range: -170°C (-274°F) to +204°C (399°F)

Detail Comments: Unlike typical hose, this tubing is measured by outside diameter (OD) to fit tube fittings or compression fittings. Available on 500 ft reels upon request.
